Getting Back to Life

Pediatric Acute Inpatient Rehab helps children and adolescents who have experienced a loss of function due to injury or illness become as independent as possible in their activities of daily living. These kids receive therapies for intensive recovery in an environment that will allow them to achieve goals more quickly and focus on establishing the necessary tools for the best outcomes and to return home safely.

The Kids We Care For

We provide healthcare for children and adolescents who are medically and physically stable and show the potential to make gains based on measurable goals. In addition, they require at least two of three skilled therapies (physical therapy, occupational therapy, and/or speech therapy). Kids and teens also need to be motivated and able to participate in three hours of therapy per day, five days a week and weekend therapies as scheduled.

The unit provides comprehensive care across a wide variety of diagnoses, including:

  • Amputation
  • Cardiac arrest
