The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)

The AAP recently established the Provisional Section on Obesity. If you are a practitioner then please see here for more information:

Weight Bias

Obesity and weight challenges are different than many other health challenges in that society places a lot of blame on the individual and the individual’s family. Learn more about how weight bias affects children and adults here through a few brief videos.

Here’s a great free program for elementary school children, if you have one or know one, be sure that they’re involved!

These folks lead a lot of great education and programs to help us eat more fruits and vegetables. They also have some great farmers markets where you can taste lots of the produce before you buy – a great way to expose your kids to some new great tastes!
