Our state-of-the-art Level IV NICU provides world-class comprehensive healthcare through compassionate, innovative, and evidence-based practice. Having earned the highest designation possible, our Level IV NICU can provide care for the most complex and critically ill infants of all gestational ages. We offer on-site access to a full range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists and pediatric anesthesiologists.

Our dedicated neonatal transport team safely and efficiently transports the most critically ill babies to Dell Children’s NICU. To initiate a transfer to Dell Children’s NICU, please call our Transfer Center at 866-459-5477 and request a neonatal transfer. You will be quickly connected to a Dell Children’s Neonatologist and members of the Transport Team.

We also accept admissions through the Dell Children’s Emergency Department or directly from an outside Pediatrician on a case-by-case basis. To discuss admission through the emergency department or directly from your clinic, please call the Transfer Center at 866-459-5477 and request a neonatal transfer.

In 2021, our specialized on-site delivery unit will open and babies requiring immediate specialized care at birth may be directly admitted to our NICU.

As part of the Dell Children’s Outreach Program, our team of expert neonatal simulation-trained facilitators will come to your home site and lead custom built neonatal simulation scenarios to enable learners to practice low volume, high risk skills in a safe space, using high-fidelity newborn simulators to improve team performance and skills. To inquire about this service please email Kathleen Grady-Greene at Kathleen_GradyGreene@mednax.com or Andrea Vance at Andrea_Vance@Mednax.com.

We have partnered with several regional community hospitals to provide telemedicine services offering immediate video-conferencing access to our Level IV Neonatologists. To inquire about partnering through telemedicine, please call John King at 512-324-1000 x 17804 or John_King@Mednax.com.
