Patrick Kelley, MD – Chief of Service

Dr. Kelley received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine where he also completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery. In addition, his training at Baylor afforded him significant experience at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Thereafter, Dr. Kelley completed the University of Washington Fellowship in Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery based at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Harborview Medical Center.

Dr. Kelley’s primary clinical and research interests are in craniofacial and cleft lip/palate surgery in children and adults, as well as pediatric plastic surgery and head and neck cancer reconstruction.

Raymond Harshbarger, MD, FACS

Dr. Harshbarger received his medical degree from the University of Rochester and completed his combined residency program in general and plastic surgery at Brown University in Rhode Island. He then completed a fellowship in craniofacial plastic surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.

Dr. Harshbarger is a former Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Medical Corps and former Director of Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is interested in international humanitarian work, and has participated in missions across the globe.

Patrick Combs, MD

Dr. Combs graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery residency programs at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Combs then received further training, completing a fellowship in Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery from The University of Texas Southwestern in Austin. Dr. Combs’s clinical and research interests include cleft lip/palate, velopharyngeal insufficiency, orthognathic (jaw) surgery, craniosynostosis, craniofacial surgery in both pediatric and adult patients, craniofacial trauma, and pediatric plastic surgery.

Cassie Havemann, MD

Dr. Havemann is a board certified pediatrician and joined PSS in January 2014. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Texas at Austin and earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She completed her residency at Texas Children’s Hospital and served an additional year there as Chief Resident. Most recently, she has been a pediatric hospitalist with Pediatric Consultation and Referral Service at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Prior to returning to Central Texas, she was a general pediatrician in private practice in Houston for several years. She is excited to combine her inpatient and outpatient experience as part of the craniofacial team.

Orthodontics

Adriana Da Silveira, DDS, MS, PhD

Dr. Da Silveira has a certificate in orthodontics from Eastman Dental Center/University of Rochester. Specializing in the treatment of cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial syndromes along with surgical orthodontic treatment of dental facial abnormalities, she also provides orthodontic treatment to patients with special needs and those who have complex medical problems.

Dr. Da Silveira holds a Ph.D. and master’s degree in Oral Biology from the University of Florida. Prior to joining the Dell Children’s Craniofacial Program in Austin, she was an assistant professor at the Department of Orthodontics and the Department of Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and the chief of orthodontics at the craniofacial center for seven years. She also received a Doctor of Dental Science degree from the University of Illinois and was an orthodontist at the Shriner’s Hospital Craniofacial Team in Chicago. Dr. Da Silveira is originally from Brazil and speaks Spanish and Portuguese. She resides in Austin with her husband, son and daughter.
