Dr. Ellington, a native Texan, received his BA in mathematics at Austin College in Sherman, TX where he was a four-year starter in football. He went on to medical school at The University of Texas Southwestern, where he met his wife Meghan who is a PA. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Scott and White in Temple, TX. He then sought additional subspecialty training in pediatric orthopedics at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, CA. While there, he advanced his special interest and expertise in treating sports injuries in children and adolescents, as well as pediatric hip disorders. He is thrilled to be in Austin with his wife, young daughter and son, and chocolate lab. In his spare time he enjoys being outdoors with his family, barbecuing, and sports.
