Prior to receiving my Master’s degree in nursing at UT Austin I worked for 7 years in Pediatric Critical care at the bedside, first at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC and then DCMC after moving to Austin in 2008. I live with my husband, 2 young children and our 2 dogs.

My Clinical Focus

I grew up knowing that I wanted to work with children. Having Type 1 diabetes myself, it only made sense to work with this population. I can use my personal experience to help my patients understand living with a chronic illness. I enjoy assisting them in gaining the tools they need to take care of themselves.
