I live out in the country with my two children, a yard full of chickens and a house full of dogs. I enjoy yoga, walking in the woods, coloring and popsicles. I’ve been a pediatric nurse practitioner for over 20 years, 16 of which I’ve been working in the hematology/oncology specialty.

My Clinical Focus

I was approached by a mentor to use my primary care skills for children with end-stage cancer in need of bone marrow transplants. In the beginning, I was nervous, but I quickly grew to love and admire the strength the children and their families exhibited. They inspired me to learn all I could about their diseases in order to improve their situations. I love that every day that I come to work, there’s something new to learn, and that more children are able to surive and realize their dreams.
