My Passion for Healthcare

I believe a holistic approach to patient care is critical to long-term health and success for each patient and their family. I assist patients and their families in clinic with navigating various issues such as insurance, medication, funding issues, community resources, school support/accommodations, and emotional support. I also co-facilitate a weekly parent support group in the EMU for parents whose children are admitted for monitoring. I am passionate about ensuring that our patients and families have the support and tools they need as they adjust to life with a chronic diagnosis.

My Clinical Focus

I have worked with children and teens of all ages, as well as their families, on a variety of issues including trauma, coping skills, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and crisis intervention. I can also address medication and/or medical treatment plan compliance for children and teens with a chronic illness. I have been in supervision for a Clinical Social Work license for two years and am able to offer counseling services in clinic. I integrate a variety of interventions into therapy sessions, such as motivational interviewing, CBT, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy.
