Our goal is to get your child home with you and teach you how to safely care for your child’s new tracheostomy tube. To accomplish this, we use a thorough teaching and check-off process.
While your child is in the hospital, you will learn to take care of their tracheostomy (trach) tube and any of their other needs. The nurses and respiratory therapists will work closely with you and your child to make sure you know how to keep your child safe at home. They are available to answer any questions you may have. These videos are available for your reference to help with this process.
