AUSTIN, Texas – (Oct. 7, 2014) – Seton Brain and Spine Institute will host a freeAlzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Seminar for patients, families and caregivers at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Seton Medical Center Austin.
Held quarterly at Seton Healthcare Family facilities throughout Central Texas, the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Seminar features a presentation by Seton neurologistDr. John Bertelson, a Q&A session and the opportunity for attendees to network and offer each other encouragement.
“Facing a dementia diagnosis can be a difficult experience for both patients and their families,” said Bertelson. “This seminar helps attendees understand the difference between dementia and normal aging, as well as some early signs that dementia may be developing. This knowledge can help patients and loved ones start to prepare for the future together.”
The seminar will be held inside the McFadden Auditorium at Seton Medical Center Austin, 1201 W. 38th St. in Austin. Parking is available in the hospital’s south garage. Bring the ticket to the seminar to get validated so it’s free. Light refreshments will be served.
