Mark McManis, Ph.D.



Dr. Mark McManis received his PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Florida. He did a three year postdoctoral fellowship in cognitive neurophysiology at Harvard University and then completed an additional two year fellowship in clinical magnetoencephalography (MEG) at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. In 2006, Dr. McManis moved to Memphis, TN and started the Clinical MEG program at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center.

Dr. McManis is now the Director of the Clinical MEG program at Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas in Austin, TX. He has written chapters for a variety of textbooks and published articles in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Neurosurgery Pediatrics and the Journal of Child Neurology. In addition, he has taught courses in pediatric neuroscience and child development at leading institutions such as Harvard University and Rice University. His professional interests include epilepsy and autism, as well as using multimodal functional neuroimaging to explore brain development and understand neurocognitive disorders.
