Comprehensive Autism Program
The Comprehensive Autism Program (CAP) was developed to address very long waitlists within the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics clinic. Utilizing this approach, the wait time was cut on average by almost 14 months. CAP focuses on children ages 0-3 who are seen by a multidisciplinary team including a medical doctor, nurse practitioner, pediatric psychologist, psychometrist, intake team, and social worker for resource referrals. This multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to see patients at one time making the appointment more efficient and comprehensive. DBP providers also provide autism assessments separate from CAP depending on many factors. Parents can request a CAP appointment if their child is between the ages of 0 and 4 years old.
