Psychosocial Team

The Developmental Behavioral Pediatric Clinic has a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals, psychologists, psychometrists, social workers, and a variety of support staff.  Our team works together to offer comprehensive support to families with developmental and behavioral disabilities in a variety of services including medical needs, social emotional support, basic needs, and more.

Dr. Meredith Brinster, Phd

  • Role: Pediatric Psychologist

  • Interests or hobbies: I enjoy playing and coaching soccer, running, playing with my dogs, cooking and traveling!
  • Specific clinical/ research interests:As the Director of Assessment & Training, I provide evaluation services, including participating in our transdisciplinary assessment clinic. I am passionate about working with neurodiverse children and adolescents, and committed to sharing my expertise and enthusiasm with my trainees. My research interests include promoting access to care through innovative service delivery models, as well as promoting our understanding of autism across diverse gender and cultural lenses.

 

Dr. Mariel Smith Cannady, PsyD, NCSP

  • Specific clinical/research interests: Caregiver- mediated interventions for behavioral challenges; autism spectrum disorder; interprofessional collaboration for developmental disorders.
