Make your own Trail Mix!

Here’s a great and healthy treat for kids – have them mix and match ingredients to make their own carry-along snacks! It’s easy and it’s fun to experiment with different flavors and textures.  Here are the ingredients if you want to try this at home:

PeanutsRice ChexPumpkinChocolateCayenne Pepper
AlmondsCheeriosSunflowerRaisins or CraisinsGinger powder
WalnutsKixPopcornBanana ChipsWasabi Peas
PecansLifeDried Edamame (soy)CoconutPaprika

Instructions: Add 1 tablespoon of an ingredient from each list (Nuts, Cereal, Seeds, Sweet, Spicy –if desired).  Mix and serve!

For children 4 years and up. Allergy alert:  Tree Nuts, cereals may contain Wheat
