Dell Children's Medical Center Volunteer Services Internship

Volunteer Services provides placement only for Volunteer Services office and our retail areas (Holy Roast Café© and The Treehouse Gift shop) opportunities for college students are provided in these areas during spring, summer and fall semesters. Interested students must be able to work 8-20 hours per week. If you are interested in an internship in another area (other than Volunteer Services or retail areas), please contact those areas directly regarding available internships. Many of those areas will require you to work through Volunteer Services to obtain orientation and complete other requirements before beginning your volunteer work in those areas.

Dell Children's Medical Center Volunteer Services Office

Requirements: 15-20 hours per week; excellent people skills; an ability to work in a high-paced, fun environment; and the ability to quickly learn new skills

Start date: Starts immediately after next volunteer orientation

Salary: Unpaid

Job Description: The Volunteer Services Intern will work in the DCMC Volunteer Services office assisting with answering phones, greeting and directing volunteers; data entry; other duties as required.. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a business-oriented or volunteer management degree, possess excellent people skills, be able to interact well with medical staff, hospital patients and their families, and be able to assist management with a variety of tasks. This is a great opportunity to build your resume, develop excellent people and customer service skills, learn bookkeeping and accounting basics and be part of your community by contributing to the mission of Dell Children's Medical Center.

Letters of recommendation and documentation of hours will be provided upon successful completion of the internship.

This is NOT an internship for students interested in a clinical or nursing internship.
