Requirements for Dell Children's Volunteers:
- Pledge to volunteer at least once a week over a 12 month period. Please ask us about our Working Adults Program for those who need greater flexibility.
- Submit an application.
- Be interviewed by the Volunteer Coordinator.
- Complete a general hospital orientation. Time and location to be announced once applications have been processed.
- Wear an assigned uniform (a Dell Children’s Medical Center Volunteer Shirt with khaki pants or skirt)shirt available for purchase for $20.00 at the volunteer office
- Consent to a criminal background check (CBC) provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety for a $5.00 fee; enclose fee with your application; checks may be made out to Dell Children’s Medical Center
- Submit records regarding immunizations for measles, mumps and rubella (If records are not available and you have exhausted all possibilities of finding them, please alert us at orientation)
- Must provide proof of 2 current TB skin tests; the first test will be available free of charge the night of orientation
- You MUST wear your SETON Photo ID Badge at all times; the badge is issued by the Security Office and allows free parking on-site
To become a member of the Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, you must complete the online application. Please submit you shot records and TB tests to the Volunteer Office at Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas.
