Training Program
The Texas Child Study Center provides education and supervision for clinicians in training. The faculty provides training in evidence based treatments for youth and families and directly supervise trainees’ clinical work. Psychology and psychiatry trainees are taught to provide the highest quality of care at the Texas Child Study Center.
Psychology Training Program
The center has a predoctoral internship program, directed by Jane Gray, Ph.D., and is a member of the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Programs. Research Programs
The Texas Child Study Center is initiating and collaborating in a multitude of research projects to advance the science of the etiology and treatment of mental health and related disorders in youth.
- Evaluation of effective programs for pediatric obesity (Collaborators: Stephen Pont, M.D., Kimberly Avila-Edwards, M.D. and Jane Gray, PhD)
- Identifying risk factors and developing preventive interventions for children who develop trauma or Post Traumatic Stress after medical interventions (Collaborators: Todd Maxson, MD and Kevin Stark, Ph.D.).
