Family Resources at the Dell Children's Medical Center


Finding support in a time of need is one of the most important things a parent can do. Milagros, which means "miracle" in Spanish, is a local support group for parents of children with heart disease. The group meets monthly in various locations around Austin to share information and provide support.

  • Adult Congenital Heart Association
    The Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) is the only national organization devoted exclusively to the needs of adult survivors of Congenital Heart Defects. Their mission is to support these one million adults, as well as their families and the medical community.

  • American Heart Association

A one-stop reference guide with links to other heart-related sites, AHA's mission is to end cardiovascular diseases. This site provides helpful information on commonly treated heart conditions, including congenital heart defects and acquired defects in children and adolescents, as well as information on the latest research, getting heart healthy and survivor stories.

CHIN is a national non-profit organization with a mission to provide reliable information, support services and resources to families of children with congenital defects and acquired heart disease, adults with congenital heart defects and the professionals who work with them.
