1. A few days before the appointment you can call to pre-register at 512-324-0918. This will save time the day of the visit. If a referral or authorization is needed for the visit, please contact your child's primary care physician (PCP). They must obtain the authorization from the insurance company. Please bring your child's insurance information and your photo identification to the visit.
Hint: Check with your insurance provider before the visit to find out what your co-pay will cost.
2. Since this visit is considered an outpatient hospital visit, it may involve 2 different bills and 2 different co-pays – one for the hospital and one for the physician. You may check with your insurance company or with Dell Children’s Admissions if you have questions or concerns. A hospital-based clinic allows us to provide the comprehensive care and services required by children and families with craniofacial and/or complex surgery needs.
3. The Craniofacial and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Center is located in the new Strictly Pediatrics Building, 1301 Barbara Jordan Blvd., Suite 301 next door to the Dell Children's Medical Canter of Central Texas.
4. Your child will be assessed (height, weight, temperature, etc.) and have photos taken as part of the visit.
