Comprehensive Epilepsy Program

Epilepsy affects over 3 million Americans. There are over forty different types of epilepsy, and it can develop at any age. Dell Children's Comprehensive Epilepsy Program is a child-centered approach to the evaluation, diagnosis and management of patients with epilepsy. Our team of experts evaluates and characterizes spells and treats all seizure types including focal (partial) with or without alteration of consciousness and generalized such as absence, generalized tonic clonic, tonic, clonic, atonic, and myoclonic. Regardless of the case, our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to crafting the most appropriate, effective treatment plan available.

Comprehensive epilepsy care is not limited to medical or surgical management but may be a combination of the two. A successful arrangement of the strategies often allows for a more effective outcome. Dell Children's Comprehensive Epilepsy Program is recognized by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers as a Level 4 epilepsy center. Level 4 epilepsy centers have the professional expertise and facilities to provide the highest level medical and surgical evaluation and treatment for patients with complex epilepsy.
