Goal: Expand the knowledge of health care providers in the care of children with acquired heart disease. Target audience: Physicians, Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, and Allied Healthcare Providers. Upon the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify new approaches to the management of the child with cardiomyopathy and acquired heart disease.
- Understand the historical development of advanced life support.
- Recognize the benefits of a multidisciplinary, community approach to caring for children with acquired heart disease / cardiomyopathy.
