Bio

James Sharp, M.D., is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. He completed his residency in pediatrics at John Sealy Hospital and subsequently was stationed in Germany while serving in the United States Army. Dr. Sharp returned to the U.S. to begin his private practice in Corpus Christi were he developed special expertise in hematology and oncology, becoming board certified in 1980.

Dr. Sharp then moved to Austin and opened his private practice in pediatric hematology/oncology. He soon became medical director of the Austin Children's Cancer Center and is currently medical director of the Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children's Hospital of Austin, and was president of 'Specially for Children, Pediatric Sub-Specialists of Central Texas.
