Bio
After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina, Dr. Ronald Shapiro went on to receive his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He completed his residency in pediatrics and internal medicine at Indiana University Medical Center. His postgraduate fellowship in pediatric cardiology was completed at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Dr. Shapiro is board certified in pediatric cardiology. He founded Pediatric Cardiology of Austin in August 2001. Dr. Shapiro is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Cardiology, and the Society of Pediatric Echocardiography.
