Dr. Patrick Kelley completed his medical and Plastic and Reconstructive Residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, which included a significant experience at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Kelley then completed a fellowship in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery at the University of Washington based at Seattle Children's Hospital) and Harborview Medical Center. His fellowship training was completed under the direction of Dr. Joseph Gruss, one of the most internationally accomplished and innovative craniofacial surgeons over the last several decades.

Dr. Kelley's primary clinical and research interests include areas of craniofacial and cleft lip/palate surgery in children and adults, pediatric plastic surgery and head and neck cancer reconstruction.
