Bio

Dr. Nilda Garcia grew up in SouthTexas. She attended The University of Texas in Austin.  She received a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy prior to enrolling in medical school at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.  She then completed her general surgery residency at UT Southwestern/Parkland Hospital in Dallas,Texas, which included a 2 year research fellowship. Her pediatric surgery fellowship was completed at Los Angeles Children's Hospital in Los Angeles California.  Prior to moving to Austin Dr. Garcia was the Associate Director of Trauma at Dallas Children's Hospital and practiced as a pediatric surgeon in Dallas from 1998 to 2010.  She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Pediatric Surgery.

Dr. Garcia's office is centrally located by Dell Children's Medical Center.  Office hours are M-F, 8 AM.-5 PM, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted, and new patients are welcome.
