Bio
Betty Edmond joined the SETON senior leadership team in 1996. She is a specialist in pediatric infectious disease, having completed fellowships in that field at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where she also did her pediatric residency. Board certified in pediatrics, Betty has served as assistant professor on the faculties of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, the University of Colorado Health Science Center, and as clinical faculty in the Austin Pediatric Education Program at Children's Hospital of Austin. She is a former Chief of Staff at Children's Hospital and was co-founder of the Society of Austin Pediatric Subspecialists. She currently serves as Medical Director of Brackenridge Hospital and Children's Hospital of Austin, and the Network Infection Control Program.
