AUSTIN, Texas - (July 19, 2013) - Dr. Adrian Martinez, an attending physician in University Medical Center Brackenridge's emergency department, will be among 10 "most eligible bachelors" profiled in the August issue of Austin Monthly magazine.

But first, he must do the catwalk and sell himself to the highest bidder.

A date with Dr. Martinez will be auctioned off as part of Austin Monthly's Bachelor Issue Release Party, to be held from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, at the W Austin Hotel, 200 Lavaca St. General admission tickets are $35 and VIP tickets are $100.

He's selling himself for a good cause. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Texas Child Study Center Endowment, a collaboration of Dell Children's Medical Center and the University of Texas at Austin Educational Psychology Department. The Texas Child Study Center is where children and adolescents with emotional, developmental and behavioral challenges can seek care. The center is embedded in almost all programs within Dell Children's - from cancer to trauma to pediatric ICU - and works with individual patients, families, schools and communities.

The release party also will feature former Miss Texas and TV personality Holly Mills-Gardner, DJ Johnny Bravvo, interactive lounges and an after party in the W Living Room featuring dessert samples.

Before making this Austin top 10 bachelor list, Dr. Martinez was among 50 of what the Dr. Oz Show called "America's Top 50 Most Eligible Doctors" for a Valentine's Day show called " America's Most Eligible Doctors Reveal Their Best Health Secrets."

Dr. Martinez was nominated by his medical residency coordinator. He did his residency at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City, where he flew to appear on the show.
