Austin, TX (December 31, 2007) - In 2002, Children's Hospital of Austin ,a member of the Seton Family of Hospitals, earned the highest honor bestowed to nursing services in healthcare organizations.
Magnet status is given to organizations that are committed to sustaining excellence, improving professional practice and transforming the culture of a work environment. This designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, an arm of the American Nurses Association, provides consumers with the ultimate benchmark to measure the quality of care they can expect to receive.
That four-year designation is now up and the new Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas has applied to the American Nurses Credentialing Center for re-designation. . See official public notice .
In February (Feb. 4-9) 2008, representatives will be visiting Dell Children's.

Comments are strictly confidential and never shared with the facility and can be submitted anonymously, as long as they are in writing.
